Catching up with the Tigers!

It's been awhile since the last blog post. Here's what's been going on with your nationally ranked Tiger Men's Soccer Team over the past few weeks (Don't forget to check out the new videos to the left)...

Soccer Coach turned carpenter, proof that assistant coach Altman actually does work. With help from equipment manager Matt Saenz, the newly finished shoe wall turned out pretty well. Thanks boys!

A professional locker room for our professional young men. Brilliant!

The squad posing in front of the newest additions to the field, a brass plaque in memory of Timothy "Tito" Isom and Trinity University Soccer brass letters.

On Friday, September 23rd, at a ceremony of 300+ Tiger faithful that included Tito's father Harold, mother Edna, sister RaLynn and husband, President Dr. Dennis Ahlburg, Athletic Director Bob King and blessed by chaplain emeritus Rev. Raymond Judd, the Timothy "Tito" Isom Memorial and Paul McGinlay Soccer Field were officially dedicated. The following evening, an emotionally charged Tiger Men's Soccer team defeated nationally ranked Chapman University (CA) 8-0!

The game that never was...Trinity vs. Mary-Hardin Baylor on Tuesday, September 27th lasted 28 minutes before being cancelled due to inclement weather.

However, proof that the Tiger's started hot :o)

The boys on top of Sewanee mountain last weekend. The Tigers started conference play on the road by defeating Centre (KY) and Sewanee (TN), 3-0 and 1-0, respectively. The Tigers SCAC unbeaten streak, dating back to 2005, now stands at an astonishing 52 games (51 wins, 0 losses, 1 tie). Currently sitting atop the SCAC standings after week one, the Tigers are ranked #5 in this week's national polls.
