Trinity 2 vs. SMU 2 - Game Recap

San Antonio, TX - The highly anticipated spring contest between the two national powerhouses ended with honors even at 2-2. The Trinity Tigers raced out to a half-time lead on a goal by sophomore forward Yuri Ribeiro (Salvador, Brazil) assisted by junior midfielder Nima Naderi (Carrollton, TX). Senior forward, Cameron Hogsett (McKinney, TX) doubled the Tigers lead just after half-time with a header from close range, once again assisted by Naderi. With 18 minutes remaining, the Mustangs made their move as sophomore forward Juan Castillo (Kingwood, TX) scored his first of two goals on the day. Due to the brutal heat and humidity, both teams opted out of playing overtime which is the typical conclusion and the final score would remain 2-2.

Trinity to host Southern Methodist University

San Antonio, Texas - Trinity men's soccer will host Division I powerhouse Southern Methodist University on Saturday, March 31st @ 1:00PM. SMU finished its season as the 19th-ranked team in Division I, earning a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Championships Tournament. The Mustangs held a record of 13-7-1 last fall. To read more, click here.
